About Me

About Me

I am an adventurer, partner, mom, creative, entrepreneur, and outdoor lover. I spend my time hiking, mountain biking, crocheting, and cooking healthy(ish) meals. My favorite thing to do is adventure and spend time with my husband, daughter, and our tortoise.

As a mom, I have realized how valuable my time and resources are. I strive to work with clients and with projects that “fill me up” and that I truly have passion for. I believe in following your passions and creating your own happiness and I want to help others to build that for themselves or their companies as well.

Whether you are starting a business, managing an association with a small staff, or just looking for new ideas, I would love to connect!

How MBS Consulting Was Born

It was spring 2020, the time when the world changed for many of us. Well, it was a time when my world imploded. We had just bought a used truck for my partner and excitedly we dreamed of all the adventures and camping trips that we could now plan. Little did we know, we were about to have those activities as our only options, as the world began to shut down. A week later my husband lost his job. The news was startling, but not entirely unexpected given everything that was occurring. We cried, hugged, and then quickly reevaluated our spending and braced to weather the storm.

As the pandemic escalated most of my coworkers transitioned to working from home. It was just me and one other person in my office. We were essentially quarantined to different areas of the office and rarely interacted. My once lively workplace was now vacant.

After quite the fertility journey, I got the news of a lifetime, I was pregnant! I was a bit scared to tell my husband but he came home with the news that he was going back to work. We celebrated as things were really looking up for us!

As I navigated packing healthy lunches and taking all of the vitamins, my excitement for the baby started to grow. It was now the summer of 2020 and my birthday was just around the corner. Unfortunately, just a few weeks after I found out I was pregnant, I was let go from my position. I started interviewing right away but the competition was steep. Then the morning, afternoon, and night sickness set in. Sobbing from my couch and eating french fries, the only thing I could keep down for weeks, I thought who would ever hire me?!

After a few days, ok about two weeks of ugly crying with all the emotions, I decided to dust myself off and get busy. A naturally born problem solver, I decided to look at everything with fresh eyes. I decided to share my knowledge and expertise in a different way, a way that fit my new lifestyle as a mom, a way that allowed me to work with multiple clients and help more people and businesses.

MBS Consulting was born and about 6 months later so was a healthy little girl.
